On October 27th Brenda and I will appear at the a synagogue book club. Something we've never done before. We'll be talking about THE TRIGGER EFFECT. The storyline includes how the death of a child can impact a marriage between a Christian and Jew. In our story, the husband had converted, but now falls back on his Jewish upbringing to deal with his grief.
The couple had lost a dear teenage child, but in their grief they find a better understanding of and respect for the other's religion. The wife calls on her priest for guidance and support, and through his visits, together they share things never imagined which strengthens their love for each other.
The marriage of the parents of the other child who was murdered goes in a different direction. We will talk about how Brenda and I decided to add faith to the plot.
